Waiters or Doers

The funny fact is that everything created in this world was made by people. More precisely people like us, maybe smarter, perhaps more experienced, but they started at one moment when they were non-experienced and stupid.

It’s not a wrong fact to understand that you know less than someone. In the beginning, you can be upset, but this should be a motivation. The best is to compare yourself with you yesterday, or the last week, month, year. Its a competition between you and you. Other people should be an example for you that if you work, study and train you could achieve the same. So in this situation why we separate people into waiters and doers?

In my opinion, the doers understand the fact that the only measure it’s yours, and you should compete with yourself. They will measure their time and appreciate each effort as an act of obtaining something or procrastinating.

The waiters, on the other part, they blame others for their mistakes without being willing to learn and understand where is the opportunity.

Another funny fact is that we play both games. There is no clean ”doer” or ”waiter” we wear both hats. Important is to align your ”doer” personality with your priority list and your ”waiter” with your holidays time.

Please be conscious that you can choose and play the game you want.

Real entrepreneurs

Real entrepreneurs are those that build the healthy relationship with their team.

No one in the world can run a successful long-term company without trusted colleagues. In Moldova, we know a lot of ”self-claimed” entrepreneurs that don’t give a shit on people and stakeholders they work. They think that if you have a profit at the end of the month that it’s essential that you can have. If you collect your salary, it doesn’t matter what salary receive your colleagues. The bad experience from Sovietic times taught the people that someone needs to work for you for a penny. Instead, you should grab everything you can and live your life as you want.

My opinion is that the strategy will not work for an extended period. The history confirmed this fact.

Being close and right to your people can give you a chance to build a reputation, a relationship, and a legacy that will last a long time.

Real entrepreneurs are those that care enough to understand that their lives are the same as the employees they hire. It’s easy to hire a right specialist, but its harder to make him stay and care about your product and the work he does.

When you think the next time to open a business or to become an entrepreneur, think twice, can you build relationships that will last?

Morning routines

I had read that the way you start your day is fundamental. It gives you power, direction, energy and focuses on achieving what you want.

In the last five years, I tried many to do lists and self-management techniques, and they helped me to achieve good results, but for greatness, I fell that I need something different. The paradox is that the only person that can stop me from making my dreams come true is me. The way it blocks me is because of the way I am.

We have a way to behave in this world, and the fact is that nobody taught us how to understand and push forward our strong side. For greatness, I realized that the most important is how I behave each day, what makes me energic, motivated, happy, focused and confident.

So, for me now is essential keep doing more of what makes me happy.

Be with people that I care, to help those that are in need, super-serve people I work with, read daily, move my body the way I feel, travel and discover the world, live personal commitments as often as I can, make this world a better place.

When was your first day?

Do you remember that day when you first start doing something at:
–work
–home
–school
–university
–etc.
How did you feel? I still remember that feeling of insecurity and trying not to be awkward, did you experience the same? The most significant discovery for me was when I understood that all people were beginners someday. The experience is what makes the difference between a beginner and a professional. Until the moment you learn to push the things through the feelings of uncertainty it’s hard to achieve the self-esteem that gives you the power to succeed.

The next time when you hesitate, choose to explore the new experiences and push yourself through insecurities.

Secret Santa for yourself

The magic of Christmas can be delivered in different forms. Someone discovered the ”Secret Santa” game and grown-ups become kids again. The rules are simple, you need to prepare a gift for someone but to keep in secret and to take care that person to have a good time and Christmas mood. In this game, you can improvise as well the main goal is to make your ”mentee” smile.

We played this game in our company and I was surprised how happy people can become when they feel that someone take care of them. Maybe its related to our childhood when we felt carefree and our parents take care of us like the Secret Santa. I loved the feeling and I changed after this experience. I found out more details about my colleagues and I understand how important is to take care of them. Definitely, it’s a time-consuming activity and I discovered how hard is to think about a strange person. Even if we are colleagues I know nothing about them. We are predisposed to take care of people that are close to us, our friends or family and I had a feeling that I live in one small circle with people I care. Maybe this is normal and because of this trait we evolved and are still alive but in nowadays we confront global issues that we need to solve together. That’s why we need to expand our circle of intimacy to take care of our city, community, country and the whole world.

And to be successful we need to take care of us, to be for yourself a good Secret Santa. When you feel good you can make another person feel better. Often we forget about us because we face bigger issues that we think we need to solve alone but it’s not like this. Together we are strong and together we achieve more. Invest more time in knowing people you surround yourself and you will know from whom to ask for help.
