Career challenges

Are you pursuing a career or thinking to choose one?

At some point its good to ask yourself next questions:
– The country I live gives me enough opportunities to grow to the maximum career level I want?
– Do I have a career or a job? I understand the differences?
– If I go to my work and I can’t expect the hour to get out of there, then I may think I have a job. If I am dreaming and in my dreams, I find solutions to my daily challenges, then that could be a career. 🙂
– How many biographies did you read?
– Who are your mentors? Digital and real ones?
– What challenges do you face on time and people management?
– Do you understand that any technical skills can be learned and leadership skills should be practiced with care and empathy?
– People go first; it’s a statement that needs to be in front of all the challenges.
– We rely on the team, and we face all the problems together.
– In the end, if our project doesn’t make money, then we should revise all our strategies and start another project.

Do you pay cash or card?

Seriously, what do you prefer?

Did you think how easy is to have no cash with you? Somewhere it’s easy, but not so in Moldova. In our country, you should be ready to have both. You never know when you will need to buy something and the store can’t accept the card payments.

It is essential to keep the pace with new technologies and adapt quickly to what could help you;
– Use cards despite of cash.
– The app that tracks your finance. I use MoneyLover; you can search and find something that fits your need.
– Use internet banking to pay your bills it saves you a lot of time, and you can plan simpler your spendings.
– Plan and track everything, your travels, significant investments, spendings, etc. If a company need to have, any penny monitored, why you shouldn’t do the same?
– Save your most important files online, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box are doing an excellent job for that.
– Use Google Drive and online Microsoft Office to keep your docs together. If you plan to track everything the online Excel its a good fit, also the mobile app is a help.
– Get a recommendation from Swarm and Foursquare apps. If you search for new places, this app will advise you.
– Open less social media apps; nowadays they are very big distractors and show you a lot of irrelevant content. Filter, filter, and filter again. Have your priorities in order and keep the focus to obtain your goals.
– Put together the Trello app boards and start planning your days, weeks, months and years. Boring? I don’t give a shit, I have one life to live, and I bet to live it as I want, not how others want. Even if it takes me five years to create systems that help me achieve what I dare, I can benefit from it at least another 40-50 years.
– Receive notifications from Google Calendar, not Instagram. More focus on whats important and fewer distractions on useless photos.
– Are books heavy? Read the e-books 🙂 easy and comfortable to use. And many many more.

Keep the pace with technology if that will increase your productivity and help you have a better life.

Real entrepreneurs

Real entrepreneurs are those that build the healthy relationship with their team.

No one in the world can run a successful long-term company without trusted colleagues. In Moldova, we know a lot of ”self-claimed” entrepreneurs that don’t give a shit on people and stakeholders they work. They think that if you have a profit at the end of the month that it’s essential that you can have. If you collect your salary, it doesn’t matter what salary receive your colleagues. The bad experience from Sovietic times taught the people that someone needs to work for you for a penny. Instead, you should grab everything you can and live your life as you want.

My opinion is that the strategy will not work for an extended period. The history confirmed this fact.

Being close and right to your people can give you a chance to build a reputation, a relationship, and a legacy that will last a long time.

Real entrepreneurs are those that care enough to understand that their lives are the same as the employees they hire. It’s easy to hire a right specialist, but its harder to make him stay and care about your product and the work he does.

When you think the next time to open a business or to become an entrepreneur, think twice, can you build relationships that will last?

People besides you

Have you felt those moments when you feel secure being beside friends? What about people that you don’t know, I’m sure that they need to deserve your trust.

Someone said that you are the average of five people you spend most of the time.

I can tell, that we are the average of two people you pay most of the time, the books you read, the social media you consume, the countries you travel, the ideas you think, the posts and opinions you share, you got the idea.

All of the above we can share with people besides us, and they will amplify the effect of learning and sharing skills. Friends influence us more than we can feel and understand. It’s hard to explain why we care about someone and why we don’t care about others.

It’s clear that if you don’t have mercantile interests, you can’t tell why you are attracted to people. It’s subjective sure, but when we speak about feelings, it can’t be otherwise.

Choose the people carefully beside you; they can elevate or throw you down.

Why do people leave?!

There are people that leave a mark on us, but in a moment they leave. How to deal with that is something personal. First, we need to understand that no matter what, everyone should think about himself and about what’s good for him. There is no way that someone should live their life for us. Each has limited time that he spends with someone, that’s why we should appreciate it and take most of it. Someone will give us just a few words that will change our life forever, others will spend more time, but with more words will change us as a whole.

There always will be someone that will leave, and we shouldn’t be angry with them. Instead, we need to be open to new people that will replace the old ones and maybe they will be better.

If we aren’t ready to forget the past, then the future is frozen for us.
